A Side Note on Editing

My goal, along with all other photographers, is to not have to post-pr0ocess at all. But there are the times when it is necessary. And there are the cases where it is just plain Fun! But for the most part, I don't particularly enjoy it!

I know that I cannot be the only one to think this: I really don't like editing my photos! Not only does it take forever to process a single photograph, but it {at times} takes the joy out of finding that perfect picture.

Playing with textures and exposure can be fun, don't get me wrong! But overall, my "style" is that all natural feel. Plus, PS is downright confusing! You can NOT convince my otherwise!

Anyways...I just had to throw that out there!

  1. Ha ha you're so funny. There are a lot of times that editing can drive me nuts. I love it when the SOOC shot is really good, so I really don't have to edit much. But like you, I really have fun playing around and editing. Photoshop is definitely confusing but I freakin' love it. I've finally got to a point that I feel comfortable with it and am happy with the knowledge that I have. So at least now, I don't dread going into PS. I actually enjoy it. I promise, as you get more comfy with PS, you'll start to like editing a little more :)

  2. You my dear need not edit your photos in my opinion :) You do wonderful natural work, and I for one am a HUGE fan. I am thinking I am going to order your giraffe photo!

  3. I hate it too. Especially when you take a few photos of the same thing and you click back and forth trying to decide which is better. Ugh. I feel your pain.
