Tidbits

Good Monday Morning! I hope your weekend treated you well!
I was able to catch up on some movies, and help Em make her "Special Person of the Week" poster for preschool {she is so excited}!

I had heard from a few people that the the movie Burlesque was pretty good and that I should watch it, so I did::
It was alright. While Christina and Cher are not my favorites, it is undeniable that they both have a great set of pipes! However, I believe that Christina isn't the greatest actress...But since I have always wanted to go to a Burlesque lounge, I thought it couldn't hurt to check out the movie. There was a surprising amount of well known actors in it, too!

I was also able to watch Salt::
It was pretty much exactly what I thought it would be - a ridiculously unbelievable, stereotyped, Angelia Jolie movie. While she is beautiful, and a pretty good actress, she always plays the same roles. You would think she'd want to branch out a little? There was a pretty good twist at the end, though!

On a different note - since Em's first day of preschool back in September, she has been asking when she gets to be Special Person of the Week. Imagine my disappointment every week, when I had to explain to her that since our last name starts with a 'W', that she will be the last one...Well we found out last Thursday, that this is her week! She is THRILLED! We got to make a poster for her to show off, she gets to bring a show-and-tell item both school days, and she gets to wear a (paper) crown with her name on it! She is so excited, it is the cutest thing ever {he, he}!

I will also be receiving my camera sometime this week, so I have this feeling it will be a good week! I hope yours will be, too!

  1. I haven't seen either of those movies. I am NOT a fan of Angelina Jolie, that's for sure... so I'm not sure I will be watching Salt. We'll see. And you're right about her always playing the same roles - except for The Changling. Have you seen it? It's is horrifying. And as much as I don't like her, she does a great job in the movie. If you haven't seen it -Be forewarned, it is incredibly disturbing and hard to stomach.

  3. I agree with Mandy. I liked the Changling, but it was frustrating. If you want to see Angie in a different role, you should rent it.

I am not sure if I will see Burlesque. Maybe.

I am glad you get to play with your new camera soon. That's exciting!
