OK folks. Now is the time. The time to help out and donate towards a very real goal, and a great cause! What is this great cause you ask? Well let me tell you about a little thing that is called the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk:
I participate in this each year, with my dear friends team entitled Heather's Crew. We walk for her and her family. And I walk for my Papa, who died from this disease 10 years ago this July {has it really been that long?}.
While it is a simple walk, and not very physically challenging, it raises a lot of money each year through it's sponsors and the organized teams.
Most teams have a Patient/Survivor, and they get to wear a neon green shirt so that they are recognized in the crowd. And at the end of the walk there is ceremony of sorts. One in which they recognize the most money raised, new advances on drugs, treatments, facilities, etc...The best part is when they call up all of the Patient/Survivors to the stage. {*TEAR*} This is the best part, but also the most emotional.
It shows you that this disease does not discriminate. I have seen children, men, women, older folks, teenagers, you name it, up on that stage. To celebrate their journey's, their accomplishments, and most importantly their courage, is the most humbling thing I have truly every witnessed.
To say that this is a cause deep, and near to my heart, is putting it lightly. So this year, I have decided to start fundraising for Heather's Crew early on. The walk is not until September, but it is never too early to rally the troops, sort-to-speak!
This is a simple fundraiser. But an effective one, considering that each and every penny helps! Here are the details:
You have a chance of winning FREE Thirty-One products and supporting a
great cause! The more squares you purchase, the better your chance at
winning! Squares may be purchased via Paypal, from me.

Weekend Filled With Emotion
This past weekend held a lot of emotion.
Saturday was the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk, the second that my family has attended. The weather was BEAUTIFUL and the walk was twice as large as last year! The overall total of monies raised was $930,000!! This year I am planning on putting together some fund raising events for next years walk. I will be hosting a Partylite Candle Party at my house in the beginning or middle of November, and trying to donate half of the proceeds to the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk!
My family and I, of course walked with team Heather's Crew! In honor of my dear friend Heather who is still fighting this fight with a massive amount of STRENGTH! Joining her team for the first time this year, was her father whom she has not seen since she was six years old! From what I was told, their reunion was an emotional one...but very good! And if you remember from this post, the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk choose my quote to display on the back of the patient and survivor shirts! Here is a photo from Saturday:
I was able to capture a TON of great photos from the walk, but I will only post a few:
Heather and her husband Ryan
Then on Sunday, I had the incredible honor to do a shoot with Heather's family, her father and his wife! Here a few shots from their session:
I am so grateful to be able to have been a part of their reunion!
There is nothing more humbling than seeing what is right in front of you. To really open your eyes and take a look around. To realize what people are fighting for: Their lives.

Honor & Excitement!
I FEEL SO INCREDIBLY HONORED!!
"The
Seattle Brain Cancer Walk committee met tonight and selected Lindsi
Wolf's quote by Christopher Reeve for this year's t-shirt ~ "Once you
choose hope, anythings possible."
Back on August 8th, the Walk posted on their Facebook page that they needed a new quote for the survivor t-shirts for this years walk. So I submitted one, and they chose mine! YAY!
I could not feel more honored to be a part of this walk! Not only will my quote be printed on the back of the t-shirts, but I also donated an Experience this year!
SnapDragon Photography donated a family portrait session, and an 8x10 pro print. I am excited to see who gets this Experience, and to walk this year with my family and friends!
I am walking for my Papa who passed in 2003, and for my dear friend Heather who has been fighting this for the past two years. LOVE TO YOU BOTH, and to all who have passed, and those who are still fighting!
